The BBA Aviation and Hospitality Department of Kuniya College of Arts and Science organized sessions on World Tourism Day 2025 that highlighted sustainability and entrepreneurship in tourism.
The session titled “Tourism and Sustainable Transformation” was handled by Dr. Binoy T. A., Associate Professor and Head of the Department of Tourism Studies, Central University of Kerala. He explained the need for sustainable practices in tourism and the role of transformative approaches in building a responsible future for the industry.
Another session titled “Setting up a Tourism Start-up” was led by Mr. Mohammed Anees, Founder and Director of Travel Views Tourism Pvt. Ltd. He spoke about opportunities in the tourism sector and the skills and vision required to start and grow a successful enterprise.
The sessions helped students understand the growing relevance of responsible tourism and encouraged them to consider entrepreneurship as a path in their careers.
