The Transform: Change Your Life, Break Addiction series has sparked a powerful movement across campus. This important initiative was created to help students break free from screen addiction and substance abuse, guiding them toward a healthier, more mindful lifestyle.
What makes this series special is that it was carried out by all seven departments of the college. Each department tailored the sessions to fit their student community, making the program relatable and engaging. From awareness to action, the series offered a platform for students to pause, reflect and consciously choose better habits.
Rather than traditional lectures, the sessions focused on interactive and thought-provoking experiences. Students engaged in discussions based on newspaper reports highlighting drug abuse and serious crimes influenced by addiction, including real-life cases of murder linked to substance misuse. These conversations helped students understand the harsh realities of addiction and its impact on individuals and society. The sessions encouraged them to reflect deeply and recognize the importance of making conscious, healthy choices.
Adding an element of fun and mental stimulation, all departments incorporated games and puzzles to reinforce the learning. Activities like memory tests, sudoku, newspaper puzzles and cup stacking not only sharpened critical thinking but also created a light and inclusive environment where students could connect, compete and grow together.
The Transform series stands as a reminder that small, intentional changes can lead to a transformed life. As students continue to internalize the message of mindful living, Kuniya College remains committed to creating a campus culture that nurtures well-being, resilience and positive transformation.
