Embracing Tradition with Barnamj Arabi

The Department of Arabic & Islamic History orchestrated an enlightening two-day event titled “Barnamj Arabiā€. Led by esteemed individuals within the college community, this occasion served as a platform to reflect upon the timeless virtues and enduring impact of the Prophet.

The inauguration of the event was graced by the presence of Dr. Abbas T. P., the Principal of Kuniya College. Dr. Mohammad Aijaz, head of the Department of Arabic and Islamic History, presided over the inaugural function, symbolizing the academic significance of the event. Dr. Faiz Abdulla, the IQAC Coordinator, added to the spirit of celebration by felicitating the gathering.

Setting the tone for the event was Mr. Ahamad Shamshad, a First Year B.A. Arabic and Islamic History student, whose warm welcome embraced all attendees. Ms. Nafeesath Shafwana, another First Year student skilfully conducted the proceedings as the master of ceremonies, ensuring a seamless flow of events.

As voices resonated within the hall, speakers eloquently illuminated the profound qualities and greatness of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH). They thoroughly described his attributes, ranging from truthfulness and compassion to humility and justice. Highlighting his role as a beacon of mercy and forgiveness, they underscored his exemplary leadership, wisdom, and statesmanship.

Crucially, the speakers emphasized Prophet Muhammad’s respect for women and environmental stewardship, showcasing his holistic approach towards societal welfare and environmental sustainability.

As part of the celebrations, the department organized various events, including a Qira’ath contest, a group song contest, an elocution competition, and a quiz competition.
