On September 30, 2023, Kuniya College had the pleasure of hosting 50 students from the Government Vocational Higher Secondary School (GVHSS) in Kuniya, along with their dedicated faculty members. This educational visit represented a significant step in Kuniya College’s ongoing efforts to foster learning and cooperation among educational institutions.
The visiting students and faculty were warmly greeted by Kuniya College’s Academic Director, Mr. Yahiya V. U, Principal, Dr. Abbas T. P, Librarian, Ms. Agnes, and other staff members. Their visit aimed to introduce them to the dynamic academic environment of the college and its affiliated organizations.
During their visit, the faculty and staff of Kuniya College provided valuable insights into the diverse academic programs offered at the institution. The students were given a comprehensive tour of the college’s modern facilities, including ICT-enabled classrooms, a state-of-the-art computer laboratory, and a well-stocked library, all of which play a crucial role in providing a contemporary and enriching learning experience.
Dr. Hassan Shihab and Dr. Gowhar Ahamad Wani, heads of the Department of Social Work and Economics respectively, engaged with the visiting team through an interactive quiz and insightful demonstrations of the college’s ICT facilities. The GVHSS students reciprocated by presenting cultural performances, contributing to a vibrant exchange of experiences.
Ms. Agnes, the college librarian, took the opportunity to showcase the library’s innovative automation features, which are designed to facilitate research and enhance the learning process.
As a token of appreciation for their visit and to symbolize the spirit of knowledge-sharing, the visitors were presented with mementoes and sweet treats.
This visit served as a meaningful exchange of ideas and experiences between Kuniya College and  Kuniya School, further strengthening the bonds between the educational communities.
